Akram Achahboun

Akram Achahboun is pursuing a Master of Science in Technology Management at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies and is honored to serve as the Technology Management Program Representative in the SPS Student Government (SPSSG). In this role, he advocates for his fellow students, brings their perspectives into conversations with faculty and leadership, and works to strengthen the academic and professional experience across the program.

Born and raised in the Netherlands with Moroccan roots, Akram holds a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Having previously chaired the university’s council, he brings experience in student representation, institutional governance, and collaboration across diverse communities.

Drawing on his professional experience at Microsoft and Google, Akram aims to build stronger connections between students and the technology industry, creating opportunities for meaningful conversations, practical learning, and career exploration. As a Technology Management student and representative, he is passionate about connecting technology, people, and responsible leadership to create lasting and positive impact.
