Artificial Intelligence is reshaping procedures and driving decision-making at lending institutions. This panel examines how risk leaders should structure AI risk governance at banks, private lenders, and government lending institutions. Panelists will discuss the distinctions between predictive, generative, and agentic AI, and they will explore the novel risks that generative AI introduces along with practical steps to mitigate those risks and responsibly adopt AI in alignment with risk appetite.

Attendees will leave with practical guidance on:

  • Top‑down governance building blocks including strategy, rules of the road, risk framework, assessment, and organizational reinforcement
  • Bottom-up risk-tiering and controls for specific use cases
  • Third-party/model risk considerations and resources required to sustain governance at scale
  • Most common and impactful AI use cases in loan underwriting and risk management
