Benjamin Kinsella

Benjamin Kinsella is an operations and product strategist with experience spanning academia, philanthropy, startups, and AI research. Currently, he serves as a member on the Board of Directors at HumaneIntelligence. He previously worked on OpenAI’s Human Data team, where he supports initiatives in model training, evaluation, and AI safety preparedness. Previously, Benjamin was an early employee at Tribe AI where he led product and operations and guided the company through its initial funding round. His experience also includes consulting for various nonprofits, foundations, and mission-driven organizations. In 2020, Benjamin managed data.org’s $10M Inclusive Growth and Recovery Challenge, a joint effort with The Rockefeller Foundation and Mastercard’s Center for Inclusive Growth, which aimed to accelerate innovative ML solutions promoting economic inclusion and resilience in response to COVID-19. Benjamin is deeply passionate about education, AI safety, and human-centered AI. He holds a PhD from Rutgers University, where his research focused on language and society.
