Raquel Chavez is a NYC-based actor, musician, and director from the Bay Area. Off-Broadway: Epiphany, The Coast Starlight (Lincoln Center); Pre-Existing Condition (Connelly Theater); Uncle Vanya (OHenry Productions). Recently seen in The Vermont Farm Project: A Farm to Stage Musical at Northern Stage VT and See/Unsee by Lila Blue at the PRISM Festival. She has directed for Smith Street Stage, BRIClab, the Mercury Store & the 52nd Street Project among others. Co-producer of The Verbatim Salon, a monthly curation of testimonies from people navigating the US immigration system shared by actors using the in-ear verbatim technique (@verbatim.theatre). Upcoming: world premiere of Antigone, This Play I Read in High School at the Public Theater. BA from Columbia University (CC’14) in Race & Ethnicity Studies. MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Graduate Acting Program.
