Josh MacPhee

Co-founder, Justseeds Artists' Cooperative and Interference Archive; Author, Graphic Liberation

Josh MacPhee is a founding member of both the Justseeds Artists’ Cooperative and Interference Archive, a public collection of cultural materials produced by social movements based in Brooklyn. He is the author and editor of numerous publications, including Graphic Liberation: Image Making & Political Movements and Signal: A Journal of International Political Graphics and Culture. He has also been designing book covers for many publishers for the past two decades. His most recent book is Strike While the Needle is Hot (Common Notions, 2025), is a compendium of information about music produced during labor strikes.
