Kailynn Williams is a proud Southern belle whose journey has taken her across the United States, though Louisiana and Texas will always be home. A graduate of Southern University and A&M College with a bachelor’s degree in Urban Forestry, Environment, and Natural Resources, she is now pursuing her master’s in Sustainability Management at Columbia University, where she is also a member of the HBCU Fellowship Program.
Kailynn has built an impressive portfolio of over ten internships and fellowship opportunities, working across diverse industries including government, food and consumer goods, travel, technology, banking, public health, agriculture, environmental organizations, and nonprofits. She is also the founder of Breathe BR, a nonprofit dedicated to environmental justice, community health, and youth empowerment. At Columbia, she serves as a Student Support Intern, where she enjoys helping and connecting with students to ensure they feel supported and empowered in their academic journeys.
Her work reflects a commitment to equity, sustainability, and business responsibility, with aspirations to lead in corporate sustainability and eventually establish her own consulting firm. Beyond her academic and professional life, Kailynn carries her southern warmth into every space she enters, determined to create solutions that uplift both people and the planet. In her free time, she enjoys visiting museums, watching documentaries, spending time with family, traveling, shopping, cooking, and exploring new foods and coffee shops.
