Steve Rothman has over 40 years of experience helping organizations leverage Information Technology to create Business Value.
During his 40+ year career Mr. Rothman has developed a deep understanding of all aspects of Information Technology – the technologies, the opportunities, the risks, what it takes to successfully deliver complex information technology programs and how to create high performing, agile Information Technology organizations.
He has leveraged this deep understanding of Information Technology to plan and lead major Digital and Information Technology Transformation programs for his clients and employers. In his role as a Quality Assurance Partner for Andersen Consulting, he was responsible for conducting in-depth Quality Reviews for many large Programs.
His areas of expertise include Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Lean Manufacturing, IT Strategy, IT Transformation, Advanced Analytics, large scale Agile Software Development, large scale Program Management, and the management of Information Technology and Software organizations
He has led Digital Transformation and Solution Delivery Programs in Fortune 500 companies and in $100 million companies. He has worked in the financial services, manufacturing, automotive, airline, distribution, software, retail, agribusiness, insurance and recovery audit industries. His clients have included Ford Motor Company, Caterpillar, FMC, Delta Air Lines, Citigroup, Fidelity Investments, Allstate, Nationwide Insurance, Florida Power, Southern Company, AcuSport, Levi Strauss, Limoneira, PRGX, Midwest Warehouse, Starwood Hotels, The National Association of Realtors, Kroger and Meijer.
He has been a Partner in several major consulting firms, including Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), Arthur Andersen, Deloitte Consulting and Infosys Consulting.
Major responsibilities and accomplishments at Andersen Consulting:
- He was the Managing Partner for Andersen Consulting’s Technology Practice in the Southeast US
- He led a multi-year Digital Transformation program at Delta Airlines to transform their Maintenance and Engineering capabilities. The program included implementing Lean Manufacturing in their Atlanta Jet Base and developing a 100,000-man-day custom system that applied MRP and Lean Manufacturing concepts to aircraft and jet engine maintenance and rebuild.
- He led the team that developed Andersen Consulting’s first Business Reengineering methodology
- He led Project Eagle, a $30 million advanced development program, to transform Andersen Consulting’s software development capabilities
He founded and grew Eagle Technology Partners, an e-Business Consulting and Systems Integration Firm, to 45 professionals and $10 million in revenue in 12 months
He was the Chief Transformation Officer for PRGX, a publicly traded Financial Services Technology company. He has been a Senior Vice President in the Information Technology organizations of Nationwide Insurance and Fidelity Investments. He also ran, and turned around, a failing specialty retail software company for one of his clients in six months.
