Kenyetta Lovings

Lecturer, Sustainability Management; Director of Energy Policy, Compliance and Programs at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority

Kenyetta Lovings possesses over a decade of experience in energy management and real estate finance developing projects within industrial, commercial and residential sectors. She presently works as the Director of Energy Policy, Compliance and Programs at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York. At the MTA, Kenyetta provides energy management leadership to six agencies including the subway and bus system, commuter rail lines as well as bridges and tunnels.

In her previous role, Kenyetta was the Associate Director of Sustainability & Energy Management at the School of Visual Arts (SVA). She also worked at the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) where she launched the Office of Affordable Housing Energy Retrofits (AHER). In local municipal government, Kenyetta worked at the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) developing capital energy projects in the city’s courthouses, and at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) structuring green loans for the city’s affordable housing. Kenyetta received an MSc in Sustainability Management from Columbia University, an MA in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago and  is an MBA Candidate at John Hopkins University Carey Business School.
