Barbara Chapman

Barbara Chapman has over 30 years of experience as an investment professional specializing in utility fixed income analysis. She joined Bloomberg Intelligence as a Senior Credit Analyst in March 2026 covering the utility and independent power sectors.
Previously she was a Senior Director at Fitch Ratings, where her primary responsibilities include corporate credit analysis and industry research within the North American utilities, power and natural gas sectors.
Additionally, Barbara has held various buy side and sell side credit analyst roles including, BNP Paribas, JP Morgan Asset Management, Guardian Life Insurance Company, Citigroup Investments, JP Morgan Securities, and Bear Stearns.
Barbara earned a BS from The Ohio State University and an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
