Political Analytics Conference Brings Key Industry Experts to Columbia: Here’s How to Attend

On March 28, 2025, the Columbia University M.S. in Political Analytics program will host its second annual Political Analytics Conference, an all-day event featuring talks and panel discussions from more than 20 political analytics experts with backgrounds in academia, public opinion, and the private sector.

The 2024 election cycle highlighted the critical role of data analysis in understanding political trends and outcomes. The Political Analytics Conference will unpack key findings in the analysis of the last election and explore the growing role of data across politics and political advocacy.

Panel topics are set to include “The Future of Polling,” “From Data to Headlines: The Role of Analytics in Political Media Coverage,” “Where Did All That Money Go? Analytics and Billion Dollar Campaign Decisions,” and “Can Data Technology Transform Politics?”

Attendees will have an opportunity to engage with fellow conference attendees and participants over breakfast, lunch, and planned networking opportunities. Register to attend here.

The department’s inaugural Political Analytics Conference in March 2024 stressed the potential of statistical analysis in electoral politics to impact the daily lives of millions. Read the full recap of the 2024 conference here.

About the Program

The Columbia University M.S. in Political Analytics program provides students quantitative skills in an explicitly political context, facilitating crosswalk with nontechnical professionals and decision-makers—and empowers students to become decision-makers themselves.

The 36-credit program is available part-time and full-time, on-campus, and online. The fall 2025 application deadline for the M.S. in Political Analytics program is June 1. Learn more about the program here.
