Steven McAlpine

Steven McAlpine is a seasoned media analytics leader and the Founder/CEO of INTRVL, a media-tech startup that empowers organizations seeking to change public opinion with novel targeting, measurement, and optimization tools. 

His career began with data science roles at DunnhumbyUSA and Universal McCann. These experiences allowed him to hone his expertise in commercial media analytics as he optimized media for Fortune 500 companies like Macy’s and Johnson & Johnson. 

In 2015, Steven began applying data science and analytics for causes. At Anthro he targeted and measured paid media designed to build bipartisan support for clean energy across 15 house and senate races. At First Street Foundation he lead the data team and utilized GIS techniques with hedonic regression to quantify the past, present, and future impact of climate change on homes and property values. 

Through the 2020 cycle, he led the media measurement team at Hawkfish, Mike Bloomberg’s former political tech firm. After Hawkfish closed in 2021, Steven founded INTRVL to provide better cross-channel media measurement and optimization tools for organizations looking to change public opinion.
