Maryam Daryabegi
Lecturer, Technology Foundations; M.S. Technology Management
Maryam is a seasoned innovation and digital transformation leader with over 20 years of global experience spanning industry, academia, and consulting. She has partnered with market leaders in banking, technology, and retail to drive innovation, technology adoption, and digital transformation across the US, Mexico, the UK, the Middle East, and Asia.
As an Associate Professor of Technology Foundations at Columbia University's School of Professional Studies, she teaches the strategic management of technology. Her course equips students with tools to harness technological innovation, including technology roadmapping, analytical frameworks, and leadership strategies, enabling them to excel in competitive, tech-driven landscapes. In addition to her role at Columbia SPS, she teaches courses on innovation, technology strategy, entrepreneurship, and leadership at Stevens Institute of Technology and MIT Sloan.
Maryam is a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council and Forbes Coaches Council, where she contributes thought leadership on technology management, innovation, and strategic leadership, shaping industry perspectives and engaging global audiences.
Beyond academia, she has advised over 50 startups across sectors—including retail, health tech, and financial services - helping them scale and refine their go-to-market strategies. She is also a sought-after speaker at global conferences, sharing her expertise on innovation, digital transformation, and technology leadership.
As the founder of a boutique consultancy in NYC, Maryam partners with organizations to drive innovation and growth through tailored consulting, training, and executive coaching. She holds an M.S. in Integrated Marketing from New York University and a B.S. in English from the University of Azad in Tehran.
