Jo Jose
President, SPS Student Government | Fall 2025
Hello! My name is Jo, a graduate student in the M.S. Technology Management program at Columbia University. I currently have the honor of serving as President of the SPS Student Government, after previously serving as Vice President for Internal Affairs and as the Technology Management Program Representative, where my leadership journey first began.
I am a community builder and a proud third-culture kid. My experiences of growing up, working, and living in different countries—both abroad and here in the U.S.—have shaped my values and inspired my commitment to fostering an inclusive community where every voice matters. I have seen incredible things happen when people come together, and I’m passionate about advocating initiatives that celebrate diversity and belonging, ensuring every student’s experience is acknowledged and respected.
This year, I’ve also supported the Columbia Health Sexual Violence Response (SVR) office and served as a Teaching Assistant for Essentials for Technology Management and Leadership. I’m humbled to have received the 2024–2025 Academic Leadership Award, which reflects the collective spirit of our SPS community.
Outside of campus life, I’m your ultimate NYC tour guide (just for fun!)—always exploring new food spots and cheering for the Yankees, Knicks, and Rangers every season.
