Nafisa Hussein

Hi everyone! I’m a storyteller who’s passionate about building connections and creating spaces where people feel valued, supported, and heard. Born in Egypt and raised in New York, I’ve always cherished the beauty of diverse communities and the power of shared experiences. Before joining SPS as a Narrative Medicine student, I spent nine years as a healthcare administrator, where I learned how to bring people together, foster collaboration, and ensure everyone’s voice was heard. These experiences inspire my work as your Vice President of External Affairs for SPSSG.

In this role, I’m dedicated to strengthening relationships within SPS and beyond. Whether it’s fostering partnerships with university groups, promoting student-led initiatives, or representing SPSSG at events, my goal is to build a community where everyone feels included and empowered. I’m here to listen to your ideas, advocate for your needs, and help make your time at SPS as fulfilling as possible.

When I’m not working or studying, I love solving puzzles, creating choreography, and spending time with loved ones. I’m so excited to connect with students, faculty, and administrators alike as we work together to create a vibrant and supportive SPS community.
