Yasmina Wazne

ANCoRS Treasurer | Student, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution

Yasmina Wazne is a current student in the M.S. in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution program and serves as the Treasurer of the student group Association for Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (ANCoRS).

Yasmina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Politics and International Relations from University College London (UCL), where she developed a profound understanding of global political dynamics and the intricacies of international relations. Her academic pursuits have been deeply influenced by her interests in cultural politics, civil conflict, and identity politics.

Raised in Lebanon, Yasmina's early experiences in a country rich with cultural heritage and historical complexity have shaped her worldview. Her move to London, UK, marked a new chapter in her life, allowing her to immerse herself in a multicultural environment while pursuing higher education. This transition broadened appreciation for the arts, a passion she actively cultivates. 

Yasmina's commitment to social causes is evident in her extensive volunteer work with various organizations, notably the Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers, the Lebanese Red Cross, and Les Amis du Liban. With a keen interest in the intersections of politics, culture, and identity, she continues to seek opportunities that align with her passions and values, striving to contribute meaningfully to the global community.
