Chris S. Lee

Chris S. Lee is a financial professional and a Lecturer of the Enterprise Risk Management graduate program at Columbia University. He has more than 13 years of work experience in capital risk, operational risk, internal and external audit function, and U.S. regulatory experience within the financial sectors.

Chris currently works as an Operational Risk Specialist in FRBNY’s Risk Function, where he plays a key role in developing control risk taxonomy and conducting Control Testing Program. He is also a Federal Reserve Board-commissioned examiner who has supervised both domestic and foreign financial institutions’ financial risk management (capital and liquidity), operational risk management, third-party risk management, and internal audit function. He has extensive experience in interfacing with senior management, front office stakeholders, and risk management functions.

Previously, Chris worked as Senior Accountant at AIG, where he was responsible for drafting, editing, and reporting a section of financial statement; and performing and producing various monthly/quarterly accounting variance report, financial analysis, and calculation for the employee benefits for senior management. Prior to joining AIG, Chris worked at KPMG as an external auditor, leading and/or coordinating more than 20+ audit consulting projects in various industries on accounting processes such as financial statement audit, analytical procedures, systems reviews, risk and credit assessment, and regulatory filings in a timely manner.

Chris currently serves as an advisor for two private schools. He previously founded and served as a president of a non-profit organization that focused on designing and building community centers and schools in developing countries.
