Michael Goldberg

Michael is a Senior Vice President for the Fundamental Ratings group at DBRS Morningstar. Michael is the team lead for the sports finance portfolio and has been with DBRS Morningstar for 10 years. Michael has worked on sports transactions for teams, leagues, and stadiums in the five major North American sports leagues (the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and MLS), the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and Ligue 1.
Prior to joining DBRS Morningstar, Michael spent five years as an equity research analyst at Stonecap Securities, CI Capital Markets, and Blackmont Capital. He covered a wide range of industries, including consumer products, mining, agriculture, and bulk commodities.
Michael has an electrical engineering degree from Queen’s University, an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, and is a CFA charterholder.
