R. Allen Darrah, '20SPS, Executive Technology Management

R. Allen Darrah serves as the Chief Information Officer at Spencer Fane LLP, a national AmLaw 200 firm, where he spearheads the firm's technology and digital transformation programs. With over two decades of experience in IT and cybersecurity, Allen specializes in managing enterprise technology risk. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of systemic threats facing the legal industry and the court system.

In addition to his professional role, Allen contributes to academia as an Associate in Columbia University's Technology Management Program. He instructs on the confluence of technology and law, covering topics such as technology contracts, AI, supply-chain risk, privacy laws, incident response, and executive crisis management.

Originally studying philosophy and law, Allen later transitioned to business management education. He holds an Executive Master of Science in Technology Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Business - Information Technology Management from Western Governors University. Allen has been accepted into the University of Cambridge Judge Business School's Advanced Leadership Program for the 2024 cohort. He holds several technical and professional certifications, including CISM and CIPM, and is recognized as a Qualified Technology Expert (QTE).
