Ricardo De La Cruz
Lecturer, M.S. Technology Management
Ricardo De La Cruz is a global technology executive, overseeing IT & Cybersecurity for a portfolio of agencies across North America and India. His multidisciplinary background includes working with startups, small and mid-sized businesses, and large-scale enterprises, with a strategic focus on digital transformation and technology leadership.
His areas of expertise include IT governance, corporate security and policy, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and infrastructure development, ranging from core systems to experiential and complex technology buildouts. He has led transformative programs across diverse industries, including advertising, creative production, high-profile events, and studio operations.
As an educator and lecturer in the Technology Management Program, Ricardo is committed to equipping future leaders with the skills and perspective needed to drive innovation in today’s digital economy. His teaching blends practical experience with strategic insight, emphasizing the intersection of technology, leadership, and innovation.
Outside the classroom, Ricardo is a passionate advocate for digital equity. He actively partners with multiple nonprofit organizations to close the digital divide and expand access to technology in underserved communities. He also serves on the board of the Society for Information Management (SIM) NY Metro Chapter and as well as advisory boards supporting community and educational advancement.
Ricardo holds a B.S. in Information Technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and an Executive M.S. in Technology Management from Columbia University.
