Sara Swisher-Anderson

Speaker; Senior Associate, Leathwaite

Sara Swisher-Anderson has over a decade of experience in higher education advancement at leading institutions that include Columbia University and Technion Israel Institute of Technology.

Serving as the strategic partner to the CEO and supporting the efforts of several high-level development executives as a chief of staff and COO, Sara gained unique perspectives on the most important qualities and characteristics of development teams and not for profit operations.

Sara has spent the last several years creating strategies and strategic planning efforts that support growth in the areas of human resources, talent management, leadership development, and organizational change management, all within the non-profit sector, in support of the mission of advancement. Her focus has always been on using her best instincts and critical listening and thinking skills to reach desired outcomes and make meaningful connections.

In addition to being a creative and innovative solution finder in her professional work, Sara is also a small business entrepreneur and owns a custom design jewelry business, named Lennon Harper Designs (after her two daughters). Sara has three big dogs and a farmhouse in Westchester that was built in 1780. She enjoys DIY renovation projects and commits her extra time to participating in local community activism and social justice projects. She has been a part of two non-profit boards and will happily say more about that.
