Dr. Erica Gaston is the Head of the Conflict Prevention and Sustaining Peace Programme at United Nations University Centre for Policy Research and an adjunct lecturer at SIPA. With a mixed background as an academic, practitioner, and conflict analyst, Dr. Gaston specialized in conflict-related human rights, civilian protection, rule of law programming, and peace and conflict studies. She has significant field experience in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, and Pakistan.
