Committed to supporting construction administration professionals looking to advance their careers, the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) awards annual scholarships to eligible students in the U.S. This year, the Metropolitan New York/New Jersey Chapter handed out grants to five Columbia M.S. in Construction Administration students: Pallavi Tripathi, Camilo Garcia, Tanvisha Reddy, Kartikaye Yadav, and Maha Idrees.
CMAA represents more than 16,000 members, including federal/state/local government and private-sector owners, construction consultants, technology suppliers, academics, and legal organizations, all with a common goal: to improve the nation's infrastructure.
“For many years, the CMAA has been one of our most trusted partners in the industry,” said Michele M. Trizzino, associate director of Columbia’s Construction Administration program. “We are honored to have our students formally acknowledged. We are so thankful to the CMAA and their generosity.”
The organization awards a limited number of scholarships to qualified students to help them defray the costs of pursuing a degree in Construction Administration or a related degree program. Tripathi, Garcia, Reddy, Yadav, and Idrees successfully demonstrated strong academic and professional skills—and showed interest in construction management careers. The scholarships were awarded at the 28th annual awards banquet, hosted at the Yale Club of New York City in June.
