Joe Infozino, Managing Director in HR Product at JPMorgan Chase & Co., joins Nabeel Ahmad's Digital HR & the Digital Workplace Class

Joe Infozino, Managing Director in HR Product at JPMorgan Chase & Co., joined Nabeel Ahmad's Digital HR & the Digital Workplace class to discuss the power of prioritizing the employee experience to drive an effective digital HR strategy.

Joe discussed the significance of creating and continually updating user personas and journey maps to target and design the right employee experience. This resonated particularly well for the students, who recently completed their own user personas and journey maps and were able to see how an organization uses them to understand sentiment and expectations of different workforce segments.

Data was repeatedly mentioned as critical to not only informing the digital HR strategy, but to ensure alignment to business objectives. Some examples include tracking technical issues related to learning completion, employee interactivity with skills-based proficiency levels and feedback requests by employees to improve their performance.

As skills are a growing area of importance for all companies to attract, retain and develop talent, Joe discussed the new possibilities afforded by AI to further transform the employee experience. For instance, it has the potential to inform and influence career and performance frameworks while building the right business capabilities to drive outcomes and improve employee skills.

In the dynamic Q&A session, Joe offered practical insight to the class around prioritizing and operating in a digital HR environment. He mentioned the MoSCoW method (Must have, Should have, Could have, Won't have) to stay focused on the scope of a project. He also noted the value of using assessing and knowing what works at one's organization in order to accomplish goals.

In his closing words, Joe emphasized the importance of showing working technology, such as a simple prototype, to fast track the digital HR design process and bring everyone in on the journey.
