Effective immediately, access to the Morningside campus has been limited to students residing in residential buildings on campus (Carman, Furnald, John Jay, Hartley, Wallach, East Campus and Wien) and employees who provide essential services to campus buildings, labs and residential student life (for example, Dining, Public Safety, and building maintenance staff). Eve Michel

Lecturer, Construction Administration; ex-Officio MTA C&D Program Executive & Chief Architect, eMrecon Consulting

Eve Michel’s professional expertise encompasses Project Management and Program Delivery of high-profile public impact projects. Eve leads project planning, design, and construction for public and private transportation and economic development projects.

Eve’s recent work at the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority includes her leadership as the Chief Executive Officer for the $2B Penn Station Access commuter rail project. Eve has spearheaded sustainability initiatives including first-time use of the ENVISION program for MTA eligible projects. As Chief Architect at MTA Capital Construction, Eve oversaw stations design and retail guideline development. Eve led the innovative P-3 Master Lease used to manage and operate the newly constructed Fulton Center transportation hub.

As Senior Vice President with New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Eve directly managed the design and construction of projects ranging the City Department of Transportation ferry program, to economic development projects including ballparks, esplanades, piers and more …… mini-megas. Professional roles include - Vice President, Construction and Development for Archstone, a multi-national REIT specializing in developing residential rental apartment complexes; Principal for eMrecon Consulting and Assistant Deputy General Manager, Capital Projects Division with NYC Housing Authority.

Eve is a licensed Architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects and a recipient of PWC Design/Construction Leadership Awards. With a Bachelor’s degree from Washington University and a Masters from the School of International Training Graduate Institute, Eve has honed her project management skills. During her career, Eve has focused her architectural perspective and project management acumen on delivering rewarding transportation and economic development projects.

As an architect and an effective project manager, Eve incorporates innovative design technology and project delivery into civic projects.
