Academic Affairs Hosts the Spring 2022 Program Curriculum Committee Workshop

On May 5, the Academic Affairs department led a Program Curriculum Committee Workshop and Reception for committee members, which include program directors, faculty members, and program staff, in Earl Hall. Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Erik Nelson presented on Dean Eggers' priorities for the School, as well as strategies for upholding academic excellence. Chair of Committee on Instruction Dr. Beth Fisher-Yoshida and Associate Dean of Academic Services and Innovation Karen McFadden discussed the role and responsibilities of the Program Curriculum Committee and the Committee on Instruction. Following that, Chief Diversity Officer Dr. Erwin de Leon and Senior Director of Instructional Design and Curriculum Support Ariel Fleurimond presented on integrating DEIA into the SPS curriculum. After the presentations, all committee members broke out into table discussions, then reconvened to discuss the evening's major ideas and takeaways and enjoyed a networking reception.
