Jay Ghorbani

Lecturer, Applied Analytics; Senior Manager, Autodesk

Dr. Jay Ghorbani is an applied researcher in the field of AI and machine learning, and works in enterprise software technology, where understanding, communicating, and solving complex business problems are his everyday job. His career has been focused on full stack development of AI solutions for digital transformation across industries such as compliance, finance, healthcare, etc.

Concurrently, he is an adjunct professor at University of San Francisco and Columbia University School of Professional Studies, where he teaches courses on data science, applied analytics and research design. 

As a faculty member, he is focused on bringing industry experiences into academia and believes if students have the opportunity to work with real-world data during their study, they can improve their analytics skills significantly.

Outside work, Dr. Ghorbani loves reading psychology books, travelling and exploring new countries and cultures.
