Barney Baldwin

Barney’s career in software development and technology management began at Stony Brook Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he developed systems for radiation therapy, including 3D image processing, computer graphics, outcome modeling, and robotics. He co-authored several papers, presented at conferences, and was the lead technology for a new three-dimensional radiation treatment planning platform developed under an NIH grant.

Subsequently, Barney held successively senior roles at SunGard, UBS, Credit Suisse, KBC Financial, First New York, and RBC. He developed systems for foreign exchange, derivatives market-making, structured products, order routing, low-latency trading, compliance, and market, credit, and technology risk management. He led these organizations through many major global projects, mergers, and industry initiatives. Most recently, as managing director at MUFG, he managed multiple initiatives in operational, market, and credit risk, and drove transformation in risk management technology.
