Human Capital Management Program Receives CHRO Award

Recognizing the unique and bold industry-based approach of Columbia University’s Master of Science in Human Capital Management (HCM), the Philadelphia CHRO Leadership Summit Governing Body has acknowledged the program with its CHRO Leadership Summit Award.

Nancy Stefanowicz, the Philadelphia Summit Governing Body Chair and SVP, Human Resources, NFI Industries, Inc., presented the award to Dr. Yvette Burton, Academic Director of the master’s program, on May 29 at the Philadelphia Summit Governing Body private dinner for Evanta’s (a Gartner Company) Philadelphia CHRO Leadership Summit.

Accepting the award, Dr. Burton said:

On behalf of SPS at Columbia University, I would like to thank the Co-Chairs and Organizer of the Philadelphia CHRO Summit. The HCM M.S. Program at Columbia University is a unique program designed by industry executives—CHROs and CEOs—to meet today’s and tomorrow’s changing industry demands. This is more than a curriculum; it's the reflections and articulations of C-suite executives and students dedicated to the real-time advancement of people, profit, and planet. It's a vision by you and for you. This is the continuation of a movement. I invite all of you to join us on the journey, the redefinition of the future of work and people as a differentiator in business excellence.
