Former Red Sox GM Lectures in the Sports Management Program
Following his 18-year tenure with the Boston Red Sox, including a stint as General Manager, Ben Cherington left the MLB and joined the School of Professional Studies, lecturing for the Leadership and Personnel Management course in the Sports Management graduate program. The class has included lectures on topics such as team chemistry, building culture, and handling dysfunctional teams, and the opportunity to work with students has been a highlight, Cherington says, because he enjoys working through problem-solving.
