Focused On Life After Football, Browns’ Hawkins Pursues a Sports Management Degree
Andrew Hawkins, a student in the Sports Management graduate program at Columbia and wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns, tells CBS News that he selected the program because he wants a career in sports after his time on the field:
“What’s next — what’s after football? Life doesn’t end there. I have a long life ahead of me and I have to provide for my family as well. Ultimately, I want to be a general manager of an NFL football team. I think I have a pretty high business acumen and I want to combine that with my passion for sport and have a career where I don’t feel like I’m going to work every day.”
