Dr. Cindy Pace, Vice President, Global Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at MetLife, and Lecturer in Columbia’s M.S. in Human Capital Management program, has been named to the Diversity Woman 2021 Elite 100 list, which honors Black female executives.
“Pace leads a global D&I strategy aligned with the company’s decree to promote accountable leaders and ownership throughout the enterprise, which has 49,000 employees in 40 countries,” writes Diversity Woman Magazine. “By activating more accountable leaders and ownership across MetLife, she seeks to fuel innovation, cross-cultural collaboration, and business success.

Dr. Pace has 20 years of corporate management and leadership experience working in healthcare, biopharmaceuticals, and financial services. She provides thought leadership at global conferences and academic institutions where she presents on global diversity, inclusive leadership, purpose & business sustainability, gender equity, and women in leadership. Her research and insights have been featured in Forbes, Harvard Business Review, Fortune Magazine and the book Women’s Leadership Journeys: Stories, Research, and Novel Perspective. Cindy currently serves on the board of directors for the International Leadership Association. She developed, and previously taught, the Columbia University Master of Science in Human Capital Management program’s Leading Cross-Cultural Global Organizations course.
