Dear SPS Students, Faculty, and Staff:
As we complete another successful semester, I write to you for two reasons. First, I want to extend my enthusiastic congratulations to our students who have finished their coursework this month with an anticipated degree conferral in February. I am incredibly proud of you all, particularly for the professionalism you have exhibited, the fellowship I have witnessed, and all that you have accomplished during your time at SPS. I encourage you, as future alumni, to stay engaged with the School and your programs, and to continue to be a part of our rich community.
The second reason I am writing is to share news with you about graduation. I am very pleased to announce that the SPS Graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2025 will be held on the South Lawn on Friday, May 16, 2025. Then, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, the Columbia University Commencement ceremony will take place on Low Plaza.
As in the past few years, the School will divide our celebration into two ceremonies: a morning ceremony at 10:30 a.m. ET and an afternoon ceremony at 3:00 p.m. ET. The Office of Student Life will be communicating further details to all graduates via email and the Student Life graduation site.
I hope that in the coming weeks you will find time to relax, recharge, and spend time with loved ones. Again, congratulations to our new graduates, and warmest New Year’s wishes to all.
