During an interview with Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies Sports Management Conference on November 14, Barstool Sports CEO Erika Nardini revealed that she wants to keep the site’s top two stars, Dan “Big Cat” Katz and Eric “PFT Commenter” Sollenberger, “at Barstool for as long as is humanly possible.”
Although Katz’s and Sollenberger’s contracts are up around 2020, Nardini notes that Barstool has a diverse stable of “48 other personalities that we are growing daily” who will become the next marquee names.
She cited Barstool’s Zero Blog Thirty military veteran podcast, The Podfathers parenting podcast, and the Chicks in the Office pop culture news site as ways Barstool is growing more stars and franchises.
