The Dean’s Excellence Awards are the highest honors that the School of Professional Studies bestows. They are given to those who consistently, adeptly, and passionately serve the mission of the School; as well as those who exemplify, at the highest levels, the attributes of academic, scholarly, and professional excellence. This year, the School is granting five Dean’s Excellence Awards, in the categories of Student, Faculty, Alumni, Administrator, and Administrative Team.

Maaz Khan, ’21SPS, Sports Management
For his academic excellence in the Sports Management program, professional promise, and stewardship of the School’s mission.
2021 Faculty Dean’s Excellence Award
Siddhartha Dalal, Ph.D., Applied Analytics
For his excellence in teaching and scholarship, industry achievements, and dedication to the mission of the School.
2021 Alumni Dean’s Excellence Award
Won Palisoul, ’16SPS, Nonprofit Management
For her professional accomplishments, service to the alumni community, and engagement and support of the School since graduating.
2021 Administrator Dean’s Excellence Award
Chris Rugen, Director, Design and Web Development
For his initiative, teamwork, and leadership over the past year, and ongoing commitment to the School and our mission.
2021 Team Impact Award
Online Curriculum and Instruction
For being a superlative team that successfully worked across units to implement a new initiative, program, or project this academic year that furthered the School’s mission to advance knowledge with purpose to move careers, communities, and markets forward.
The Campbell Award, established in honor of the late Bill Campbell, cofounder of the Columbia Alumni Association and a distinguished alumnus, recognizes a student who shows exceptional leadership and Columbia spirit.
