Mary Palmieri

Mary Palmieri is an entrepreneur and consultant working at the intersection of AI, e-commerce, and go-to-market strategy. She is a Course Associate in Columbia's Information & Knowledge Strategy (IKNS) program, where she is an alumna and has taught and co-facilitated courses including the Capstone and Digital Product Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Palmieri has founded and led multiple ventures across beauty, retail, and AI-driven commerce. She created one of the first beauty industry blogs and digital consulting firms in 2009, growing it for seven years before a 2016 exit. She went on to co-found an early AI-driven personalized marketplace matching brands and consumers, which later merged with SaaS company Tangent AI to expand its e-commerce personalization capabilities.
At Amazon, Palmieri built large scale digital products and channels, serving as a Principal Program Manager, Senior Product Manager, and Product Marketing Manager leading work on social shopping feeds and retail media networks — experience that continues to shape her focus on the digital shelf and AI-driven agentic commerce.
Palmieri is the founder of Momentum Magnitude Ventures (https://mmventures.ai/), a growth and innovation consultancy helping companies deliver top and bottom line growth by launching and implementing products and programs, with a focus on the digital shelf and AI commerce.
She holds an M.S. in Information and Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University and a B.S. from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
