Violet Diamant

Violet Diamant is a structured finance professional and attorney who has held credit risk and business development roles with banking institutions, credit rating agencies, and a financial guarantor.  She is currently a Credit Officer in Structured Lending & Financing Risk at Barclays. She previously was Managing Director at Morningstar Credit Ratings where she joined to launch the Asset-Backed Securities business. Prior to this role, she served as a Director and credit risk officer at Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Banking for five years. Earlier, Violet held the role of Director at CIFG where she underwrote consumer and commercial Asset-Backed Securities transactions. Before that, Diamant served in key structured finance roles at WestLB AG and Standard & Poor’s Global.

Among her professional interests, is teaching strategic risk management and preparing the next generation of professionals in the ERM field. She is dedicated to mentoring new entrants into the corporate world and infusing classroom teaching with real-life experiences.

Violet holds a JD degree, an MBA in Finance and BA in Economics. She is a member of the New York State Bar.
