Brittany Ober
Senior Lecturer, American Language Program
Brittany Ober has been teaching at the American Language Program since 2012. She teaches various levels in the Intensive English Program at the ALP and English for International and Public Affairs at SIPA.
She is a member of the AI Teaching & Learning committee at SPS and the Assessment Committee at the ALP. Her recent professional projects include presenting at the ANUPI conference in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on Cosmopolitanism, co-teaching a teacher training seminar for San Diego State University, and working on the ALP’s curriculum for its Project-based Language Learning summer courses. Ober’s pedagogical interests include extensive listening, academic writing, and incorporating art, poetry, and music into ESL instruction.
Ober was a member of the Lecturer Advisory Committee (LAC) from 2021-2024 and Chair from 2023-2024.
