Meredith McDowell

Lecturer, Enterprise Risk Management; Head of Corporate Functions & Strategic Risk, TD Ameritrade

As the Head of Corporate Functions & Strategic Risk at TD Ameritrade, Meredith provides risk support and counsel to Finance, Marketing, Legal, HR and Enterprise Strategy and Corporate Development teams and is currently managing the firm’s Transitional State Risk Program. During her tenure at TD Ameritrade, Meredith has also managed the IT Audit Team with a focus on integrated audits in the Institutional, Retail and Active Trader business areas and served as Chief of Staff to the firm’s Chief Risk Officer.

Meredith brings more than 18 years of risk, IT audit and related IT experience to her position, including 6 years combined technology experience in an IT Governance role and at a mobile startup company.  A member of The RMA, The IIA, SIFMA and ISACA, and CISA certified, Meredith received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Information Systems Management from The College of New Jersey and a Master of Information Systems Management from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. Most recently she earned a postgraduate certificate in the Mechanics of Risk Management from Middlesex University.
