Matt Pesnell
Faculty Affiliate, Human Capital Management
Matt has practiced labor and employment law for over 25 years. Based in Atlanta, he serves as Associate General Counsel for Koch Industries, an international conglomerate employing over 130,000 employees. His primary focus is leading an employment law team at a Koch subsidiary, Georgia-Pacific, a world leader in manufacturing paper, packaging and building products. Matt has supported Georgia-Pacific for over 20 years as a business partner, crafting tailored solutions to its most complex employment issues in the Americas, EMEA and APAC.
Matt received his Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech University, magna cum laude, and graduated from Mississippi College School of Law, with distinction, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the law review. In 2019, his team was featured in the Daily Report as the Georgia In-house Legal Department of the Year. Matt is a Lifetime Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Association.
