Jason Papier
Lecturer, Managing Partner, Werba Rubin Papier Wealth Management LLC
Jason Papier began working in the wealth management industry in 2001, starting at PW Johnson Wealth Management. PWJ was a fee-only firm supporting high net worth individuals and families. While there, Jason was also the COO of Advisor Press, a best selling publisher of personal finance books. During that period, he co-hosted what was then the #1 financial podcast on iTunes. The podcast interviewed financial luminaries such as Steve Forbes and Nobel Prize winning economist Bill Sharpe.
In 2007 Jason founded Fluent Wealth Partners, expanding his focus to executives in growing tech hubs such as Austin, The Research Triangle in North Carolina, and the greater Boston area. As hubs have emerged in other regions, such as Colorado, New York, and Florida, he’s continued to expand his geographical footprint.
In 2017 Jason became the managing partner of Werba Rubin Papier Wealth Management, after Fluent merged with Werba Rubin Wealth Management. WRP has been recognized as one of the Financial Times top RIAs. They have also been listed as one of the top 25 Wealth Management Firms in Silicon Valley, by the SV Business Journal.
Jason holds a bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University and a master’s degree in Wealth Management from Columbia University. He remains active at Columbia by teaching the capstone class in the masters program. Jason also helped to fund and launch the Columbia Wealth Management Diversity Fellowship. In 2023 he and his fellow founders were honored as the alumni recipients of the Dean’s Excellence Award.
Jason has sat on many non-profit boards including Hope Services, Neighborhood Housing Services, and the San Jose Public Library Foundation. He continues to give back to charities around the country through volunteer work and economic support.
Jason and his wife Susan live in San Jose with their two sons, Finnegan and Sawyer.
