J. Douglas Van Ness

J. Douglas Van Ness is an innovative financial services executive with almost 40 years of Wall Street experience, including more than 30 years in a variety of roles at Morgan Stanley. He is able to share his extensive experience in capital markets, investment banking, accounting policy and regulatory policy, with its focus on equity, debt and securitization markets. His unique background consists of both banking and policy responsibilities.

During his career, he lead managed more than $100 billion of capital markets transactions, raising new capital for businesses in different industries. Later, in a policy role, he determined accounting and regulatory treatment for complex transactions executed in the fixed income, commodities, structured notes and equity derivatives businesses, drawing upon his product expertise, providing quick responses and frequently enhancing transaction structures.
