Izzy Kushner

Associate, Human Capital Management

Izzy Kushner is the President of HR Impact, Inc.—a consulting firm with expertise in all facets of Human Resources.

Throughout his career, Izzy has partnered with a broad range of clients from privately-held organizations to Fortune 50 companies, by assisting those organizations with their Human Resources, Benefits and/or Payroll-related needs. He has supported his clients’ people-related issues by leading efforts to collect and analyze data, develop strategies for implementation and communication, and systematically addressing existing cultural and emerging people issues.

These assignments have included assessing benefit programs and costs, compensation structures, needed and existing employee skills and capabilities, as well as planning for redeployment and change. We have worked to develop formal strategic approaches for managing change — beginning with the leadership team and then engaging key stakeholders and leaders; communicating to employees throughout the process, recognizing employees’ natural resistance to change.

Izzy has authored several articles on people strategy and employee benefits issues, and has been a lecturer at industry seminars on various compensation and benefits topics. He is currently an Associate at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies. He has been quoted in such publications as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and New York Newsday on a variety of Human Resources issues. Izzy served as the President of HR/NY, the New York City chapter of SHRM, and has been a Director and the Chair of its Benefits SIG for several years.

Prior to creating HR Impact in 2000, Izzy was a Vice President at Compensation Resource Group, and a Senior Manager and Regional Human Capital Practice Leader for Arthur Andersen, in New York. Izzy graduated from Hofstra University with a BBA in accounting and a Math concentration.
