Danny Hagenlocher

Associate Director, Sports Management

Danny Hagenlocher is the Associate Director for the Master of Science in Sports Management program. Prior to his current role at Columbia, Hagenlocher was Associate Director of Athletics at St. Thomas Aquinas College.

At St. Thomas Aquinas College, an NCAA Division II institution in Sparkill, New York, Hagenlocher oversaw the day-to-day operations of the 20 Spartan intercollegiate sports teams, along with the college's four Club Varsity sports programs. He was also responsible for organizing weekly practice schedules and coordinating assignments of game day officials and administrators for all home athletic events, in addition to working with the coaching staff on all matters involving equipment purchasing, travel, and recruiting.

Hagenlocher worked on initiatives and special projects, evaluated staff performance and provided leadership and guidance for personnel while representing the college at the conference and national meetings, and evaluated functions, practices, and efficiency of facilities. He also liaised between the Athletic Department and Residence Life/ Dining Services offices.

Prior to his tenure at STAC, Hagenlocher served as the Deputy Director of Athletics at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, New York (2018-2020). Before serving at NYIT, Hagenlocher served as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Events and Programming (2014-2018) and as an Athletic Facilities Manager (2011-2014) at St. John's University in Jamaica, NY.
