Lecturer, Sustainability Studies; Lamont Research Professor, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory
My research is focused on utilizing the geochemistry of corals, microfossils, and marine sediments to document past oceanographic and climate conditions over a range of time scales from sub-annual to glacial-interglacial. In addition to my role as a Lamont research professor, I also serve as director of the Lamont-Doherty Stable Isotope Laboratory and codirector and teacher in the M.S. in Sustainability Science program. I came to Lamont in 2011 after 16 years as a professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at the University at Albany-SUNY.
