Arunava (Arun) Bhattacharyya has been working in data analytics and their applications for the past 20+ years. His work and research experience cover academics, telecommunications and healthcare industries. After his Ph.D., Bhattacharyya worked in academics, teaching and researching, before moving on to AT&T, where he worked for AT&T Marketing Science and then AT&T Labs Research (formally known as Bell Labs) for 12 years. Follow that, he moved to the healthcare industry. Currently, he is working at Pfizer Inc.
During this period, Bhattacharyya published more than 30 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. Some of these publications are in top journals in the related fields. He has presented his research/scientific papers in many national and international conferences related to academic and applied (analytical) research. He is often invited as a guest speaker in many reputed universities and research labs.
Bhattacharyya has a Ph.D. in Economics, with a focus on Applied Econometrics. Over the years, his research interest has embraced emerging data science areas, e.g. machine learning, neural networks, social networks analysis, computer age regression, and statistics and their applications. Bhattacharyya always tries to work in the areas where these newer methodologies and techniques can be applied to address real-world issues.
