NECR Webinar: Community Peacebuilding and Social Transformation

Last year NECR Program Director Dr. Beth Fisher-Yoshida and Joan C. Lopez published Redefining Theory and Practice to Guide Social Transformation: Emerging Research and Opportunities (IGI Global).

As social conflicts transform over time and their level of complexity deepens, approaches to social transformation need to be in constant touch with these changes in order to remain effective. During this webinar, the co-authors will reflect on their book, Redefining Theory and Practice to Guide Social Transformation, one year on and how their work and research in conflict and social transformation in Medellín, Colombia continues to evolve. The authors will share the progress of their narrative analysis method to measure the effects of peacebuilding and social transformation approaches in the life of people and their communities. Following the webinar presentation, there will be time for audience Q&A.
