As the sports, entertainment, and fashion industries confront their environmental footprints, brands are reimagining the future of gear through sustainability-driven innovation, biodiversity-conscious design, responsible sourcing, and data-informed decision-making. This conversation will explore how materials, manufacturing, merchandising, and fan culture are evolving to deliver high-performance apparel that reduces environmental impact, supports more resilient supply chains, and reflects a growing commitment to people, planet, and biodiversity.

The main event will take place from 6:00–9:00 p.m. and will feature an in-person and livestreamed panel discussion, followed by an in-person networking reception.

Those attending in person are also invited to join optional pre-event programming from 4:00–6:00 p.m. The program will begin with an information session highlighting Columbia University’s environmental professional programs—the M.S. in Sustainability Science, M.S. in Biodiversity Data Analytics, and M.S. in Sustainability Management—followed by a Meet and Greet with representatives from Admissions and the Career Design Lab.
