You’re invited to join Columbia University’s M.S. Nonprofit Management program for an informal professional development webinar with Program Director and Professor of Practice Dr. Basil A. Smikle Jr., in conversation with special guest Linda Gadsby, Esq. -- the Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at NBME (National Board of Medical Examiners).
Gadsby oversees legal affairs, advises senior leadership and the Board of Directors, serves as General Counsel for the United States Medical Licensing Examination, and leads the Office of the General Counsel and Organizational Affairs. She brings more than 30 years of legal and corporate leadership experience, including 22 years as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Scholastic Inc., and earlier roles at AlliedSignal (now Honeywell) and Kaye Scholer LLP (now Arnold & Porter).
A graduate of Cornell University and NYU School of Law, Gadsby is a dedicated mentor and civic leader and recently completed eight years of service on Cornell’s Board of Trustees, where she now serves as an Emerita Trustee and Presidential Councillor. Her work has been recognized with numerous honors, including the 2025 Alpern Alumni Award from Cornell ILR and multiple national distinctions for leadership in law, business, and diversity.
