Alumni, Applied Analytics

Theresa is a data analyst with seven years of full-time experience in financial analysis and taxation. Prior to Columbia, she worked at the State Taxation Administration of China as a chief tax inspector and data analyst. At that time, she maintained close relations with 100+ enterprises in China in various industries, among which 20+ are public companies.

During the pandemic, she led a team of 30 to analyze the Covid 19 related data. Her team issued a 219-page report on the economic recovery, which supported the decision-making of tax-preferential policies and helped many floundering businesses out.

She enjoys dancing and is a member of Columbia China Dance. She is also a Taichi athlete with several provincial prizes. She likes exploring the most challenging places, e.g., the Yulong Snow Mountains Cycling Competition (altitude: 4000m+), Circle Fuxian Lake uninterrupted cycling (distance: 600km+).
