Susan Betts is a renowned technology brand strategist with two decades of executive leadership at prestigious tech powerhouses such as Google, Microsoft, and global consulting firm FutureBrand. Her expertise in marketing, branding, and communications has contributed to meaningful connections with worldwide audiences and impactful thought leadership at key global forums.

As Google’s director of Brand Strategy and Management, Betts directed the alignment of Google’s brand portfolio to represent an inclusive, sustainable, and impactful platform across all marketing endeavors. As Microsoft’s senior director of Brand Strategy, Betts led branding for the parent brand, rebuilding brand love for Microsoft and redefining the brand architecture amid major acquisitions such as Skype, LinkedIn, and GitHub. Her earlier career at FutureBrand in São Paulo and New York involved managing cross-functional teams to develop effective branding solutions for clients across the globe.

Betts is a sought-after speaker at global events from Las Vegas to São Paulo. Her commitment to marrying profit with principles is evident from her panel at Brand2Global and keynote speeches at industry conferences. She is a longtime member of the Future of Storytelling Explorers Club. As a guest lecturer at top Brazilian and U.S. business schools, she shares her passion for the future of brand strategy through education and innovation.

A native Brazilian, Betts leveraged her multicultural background during her bachelor’s and master’s studies at the prestigious Fundação Getulio Vargas business school. Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English and conversant in Italian, she amplifies global brand propositions that underscore equality. Betts is a bold advocate for women and for LGBTQIA+ and at-risk youth, and a proud partner to her wife, Silvia.
